Former Trump administration official Anthony Scaramucci criticized President Biden on Friday, calling it “political malpractice” to suggest he can continue leading the country for another four years.
“I don’t think he can make it to the election. Let’s be honest. He’s not handling himself well,” Scaramucci said on the “Cats & Cosby Show.”
Scaramucci, who now supports Biden, suggested replacing him on the Democratic ticket with Vice President Kamala Harris. He praised Harris as someone who could compete effectively against former President Trump in the upcoming election.
“Democrats need a candidate who can speak clearly and adapt to challenges,” Scaramucci added.
During a recent Biden campaign fundraiser, Scaramucci noted Biden’s age, describing him as appearing frail. He recounted a moment where Biden joked about the age difference between himself and First Lady Jill Biden, which Scaramucci found touching.
Despite criticism and declining poll numbers after a rough debate with Trump, Biden has insisted he is healthy and capable of serving. He plans to continue his campaign for reelection, though he would be 86 by the end of a second term.
Critics like Scaramucci argue that Harris represents a stronger choice for Democrats in 2024, suggesting she could offer a fresh approach and stronger competition against Trump.
