The main job of the president is to keep our country safe. But for the past four years, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris haven’t done a good job with this.
Big threats from China, Iran, and Russia show that keeping America safe isn’t just about reacting to problems—it’s about having a strong plan to stop enemies before they can harm us.
One big problem is at our border with Mexico. Biden and Harris have allowed dangerous drug cartels to operate freely. These cartels have become very powerful and are a serious threat to America’s security.
To fix this, the next administration needs to secure the border. We should bring back the “Remain in Mexico” policy from Trump’s time and make sure people enter the country legally. We should also use the military to finish building the border wall and keep soldiers there until illegal immigration is under control.
The main cause of illegal immigration is the drug cartels. These cartels help terrorists cross into the U.S., sell deadly drugs like fentanyl, and make the immigration crisis worse. Fentanyl kills hundreds of Americans every day, especially young adults.
Fighting the cartels will be tough, but it’s necessary. These criminals are ruining American families and communities, and they need to be stopped. The cartels overwhelm our Border Patrol by pushing large groups of illegal immigrants across the border, which helps them smuggle drugs into the country.
Destroying the cartels won’t happen quickly. It will take years and a new approach to dealing with Mexico. Under Trump, America started this change, but Biden and Harris abandoned it.
Instead of just going after cartel leaders or trying to fix Mexico’s legal system, we need a new strategy. The cartels have spread out and are hiding among civilians, similar to terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Military action alone won’t be enough. We need to work with countries that want to fight the cartels, sharing intelligence and training together. But if a country sides with the cartels, we should stop helping them, impose sanctions, and be ready to act alone if necessary.
Some experts say a third of Mexico is under cartel control. This is a growing threat, and we must act to protect America. We need to put “America First” in our foreign policy again.
Finally, we should think about officially calling the cartels “foreign terrorist organizations.” This would send a strong message to everyone—including China, which allows companies to sell fentanyl ingredients to the cartels—that America will do whatever it takes to stop the cartels, just like we would if ISIS were trying to take over south of our border.
But none of this will happen unless Americans elect leaders who are serious about fighting the cartels and securing the border. Biden and Harris have failed at this job; only President Trump can give America the security it needs.
