The more people mock Joe Biden for his disastrous performance in the presidential debate, the more the liberal media tries to paint him as a victim. We live in a society supposedly committed to rooting out “isms” wherever they may be, so why is ageism still a gladiatorial sport?
Then again, the leader of the free world probably does need to have fewer catatonic moments than Biden appears to. Which is where his replacement comes in—a supposed necessity if Donald Trump is to be kept out of the White House. Kamala Harris is a non-starter. So who’s the media’s new darling?
Enter Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan’s Democratic governor, who the liberal media hails as the only hope against Trump. She’s been propped up as a hero by left-wing pundits, despite being surrounded by Midwestern Republicans who challenge her not for being a woman, but for her misguided policies.
The media lauds her as experienced and reasonable, ignoring her draconian Covid measures that led to a kidnapping plot—hardly a sign of effective leadership.
Whitmer’s supposedly sensible on most topics, from the environment to childcare to gun control. But let’s not forget her infamous “fix the damn roads” promise, which has been more about photo ops than actual results. She focuses on infrastructure, but her state’s issues remain unresolved, as she relies on political theater rather than tangible improvements.
The media likes to compare her to a Democratic Nikki Haley, but with more “pizzazz” and “intelligence.” It’s laughable, really. Whitmer’s attempts to be a tough cookie are transparent and forced. She’s portrayed as the cavalry with good cheekbones and luscious brown locks—because apparently, that’s what matters in a presidential candidate now.
In reality, Whitmer is another overhyped, underperforming politician the liberal media is desperately trying to elevate. They hope she’ll be the one to finally stop Trump, but it’s a fantasy. Trump’s strong leadership and clear policies are what America needs, not another media-manufactured hero. Whitmer can try, but she’s no match for Trump’s proven track record and unwavering support. The liberals can keep dreaming.
