Former President Donald Trump recently shared posts on his social media site, Truth Social, calling for serious actions against some top political figures.
One post he shared said that former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney is “guilty of treason” and suggested a televised military trial for her. Another post called for jailing President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and other officials.
Liz Cheney responded on social media, saying Trump is not a stable adult and unfit for office.
The post also targeted Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former Vice President Mike Pence, and members of the House committee that investigated the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
When asked for a comment, a Trump campaign spokesperson highlighted what they described as the January 6 committee’s “political persecution” of Trump.
Trump, who faces several legal charges, has suggested that if re-elected, he would pursue legal actions against his political opponents. He has expressed plans to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Biden and his family, arguing that he is justified because of the investigations against him led by Attorney General Merrick Garland.
